In an announcement released today, French Montana indicated that he had begun working on the next installment of his highly regarded Mac & Cheese series. Earlier today, he released a new single from the upcoming project called “Alcatraz,” which was co-produced by Mixx. “Alcatraz” features French Montana renouncing his typical formula for hit-making and delivering some of his hardest bars to date:
A video for “Alcatraz” has also been released by French and Zay Jones, which shows the South Bronx rapper mobbing in the streets at night. The program also features a number of high-end automobiles, fly gear, and pyrotechnics for added effect.
It was announced in November that French Montana would release his fourth studio album, They Got Amnesia. This album featured collaborations with Rick Ross, John Legend, Kodak Black, Pop Smoke, Doja Cat, Lil Durk, Saweetie, Coi Leray, Fivio Foreign, and more. MC4 (or Mac & Cheese 4) made its debut in 2016 as part of the aforementioned series. The release of this album has been plagued with problems due to an unintended leak, which led to the cancelation of the project. The mixtape version of MC4 was given to the fans by French months later.
