We think we may have found our new favourite sound. Meet Chef Rambo, one of Canada’s biggest musical assets. Being home-grown in Montreal, we’re beginning to see a pattern of talented artists out of the same borough. This guy however, stands out a great deal for some reason. What can I say, the kid can rap. 21 year old rapper and artist Chef Rambo had just released his album months back and hasn’t stopped yet, dropping 3 new projects since. His most recent being “Bathing Ape”, a fun energetic translation to his other accessible genres and modes.
Bathing Ape is altogether such an enjoyable song. His style in the track gives us a little bit of a Ken Carson / Lil Uzi Vert type of vibe, thus giving off the impressive sound that took us by surprise. The capability he possesses is just insane. If he’s already gaining the amount of traction that he’s gaining presently, imagine what a few years and a deal would do for the rapper. I personally hope he stays in his element of originality. Difference is key in many instances, we hope he sees it the same way. I think I speak for many when I say we just want all upcoming/indie artists to win at this point.
