unnamed-5-4-500x500 Chief Keef Celebrates 10 Years of his Landmark Debut with ‘Finally Rich (Complete Edition)’

Emerging onto the scene in 2012 with a “bang bang,” Chief Keef’s arrival changed the face of rap music for the following decade. Celebrating 10 years of his culture-shifting classic debut album, the multi-platinum rapper-producer shares Finally Rich (Complete Edition). Adding 7 previously unreleased tracks, including a collaboration with Wiz Khalifa on “Rider,” Finally Rich (Complete Edition) is available everywhere now via Interscope Records.

Originally released on December 12, 2012, the seismic impact of Finally Rich sparked waves that continue to reverberate throughout popular music a decade later. The album’s innovative soundscapes, crafted in part by Chicago sound architect Young Chop, combined with Keef’s mutated melodies and off-kilter turns of phrase to create a massive moment for the then-ascendant genre of drill. The landmark album set the stage for the Chicago-born genre’s global takeover, and Keef’s unapologetic energy and singular vocal style influenced an entire generation of rappers (an incomplete list of his admirers includes 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti). Rated by PitchforkRolling Stone, and many other publications as one of the best rap albums of the 2010s, Finally Rich changed the face of music, established Sosa as a globally recognizable icon and shifted the center of rap culture back to the streets.

Cracking the Top 5 of the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and Top Rap Albums Chart before eventually earning platinum status, the now-classic album is home to iconic singles like the quadruple-platinum “Love Sosa,” double-platinum “Hate Bein’ Sober” [feat. 50 Cent & Wiz Khalifa], and “I Don’t Like” [feat. Lil Reese]—which famously inspired the platinum-certified “I Don’t Like (Remix)” [feat. Pusha T, Kanye West, Big Sean, & Jadakiss] on the G.O.O.D. Music collective’s Billboard 200 #1 album, Cruel Summer. The new songs on the Complete Edition fit seamlessly alongside these classics, rekindling the spirit of 2012 among loyal fans and newcomers alike.

Speaking to the enduring impact of Finally Rich, Spotify is collaborating with Chief Keef to present an exclusive fan performance celebrating 10 years of the iconic album. Top fans will be invited to attend the intimate concert event in Brooklyn, NY.

Uncountably prolific, yet never seeming to run out of ideas, Chief Keef is embarking on a new chapter of his storied career. Earlier this year, he announced the formation of 43B, his new record label formed in conjunction with BMG, and signed its first artist, Lil Gnar. The two 43B artists combined for the recent single “Almighty Gnar,” a beat-shifting banger. In December 2021, the rapper shared his critically acclaimed project 4NEM, home to viral single “Yes Sir” and titanic opener “Bitch Where,” prominently used in the fourth season of FX’s Atlanta and recently included in Pitchfork’s Best Singles of 2022 list, and founded his new Web3 venture DigiGlo. Keef is preparing to release his next all-new highly anticipated project, Almighty So 2, home to recent singles “Racks Stuffed Inna Couch,” “Tony Montana Flow,” and “Chief So,” in early 2023.

Stay tuned for much more from the rap icon as he continues to build his legacy.
