Elquan was Born in New York City and lived in Roanoke Virginia and then moved to Las Vegas. He’s been influenced by all those places and you can hear it in his music. His So100 brand started with a couple of friends from back home in Roanoke Virginia but he was the only one who stuck with the brand and music out of everybody. He was tired of dedicating time to 9 to 5 jobs and decided to follow his passion which is music. He self-invested and built his brand into what it is today. He caught thyroid cancer two years ago which changed his whole perspective on life. He beat cancer and it gave him a drive like no other to pursue my music like never before.
His first album ‘ Faraway’ dropped in 2020 and has a unique underground sound with personal subject matter about family, spirituality, and relationships. He now decided to do an album Executive produced by Dj fresh. It took a year but they made it happen. November 4th he will be dropping his second album called ‘ Smoke, Hoes, and Low Lows’. It’s influenced by living in Las Vegas, enjoying the lowriders at car shows, and beautiful weed and women.
It has producers on it such as Baylor Beats, Tayville, CMPLX, and executive produced by Dj Fresh. Come cruise with Elquan on this new album as it will make you feel like you are on the west coast in your lowrider hitting the switch and burning something fire on your way to the function! The New album features Dizzy Wright and Jay Worthy. Two singles from the album are out now, one is called ‘ Na Na’ the other is called ‘Reppin’ feat. Dizzy Wright. He switched the flow up on ‘Na Na’ where he’s rapping faster than normal. His other single Reppin’ featuring Dizzy Wright is a song representing the brand So100. Las Vegas legend Dizzy wright co-signs him on the track. Videos of both of those singles were shot which are doing very well on Spotify. He’s going to SXSW 2023 to network and hopes to perform. Sticking to the plan isn’t easy but he does it with passion and drive.
