Finesse Gang Polo, has been on everyone’s lips as one of the best upcoming rappers hailing from his current home of Orlando. While he may be new, his musical talents have been around from the early age of 11, when Finesse Gang Polo has discovered his musical talent.
It all started when being locked up in a youth detention center where kids use to pay him in snacks, noodles, and Debbie cakes just to rap a song out to them. “When I found out they loved my music and are willing to give me their stuff I knew I had a talent that could possibly keep me out of trouble and get my family out of the hood.” Finesse Gang Polo tells us. Growing up wasn’t easy but the young artist used this opportunity and ran with it making his dreams turn into reality.
“Looking back now I see that I’ve always had love and connection with music. For as long as I can remember every time I write music, it’s like, it free’s my soul.” The artist really puts his heart and soul into each song so that others can actually feel where he’s coming from and hear his messages through his lyrics. “This is why I do music.” He adds.
The main goal this year for Finesse Gang Polo is growing his audience and releasing new music. “I have a new single coming out called ‘pof’ dropping around spring break, a music video for a hit single called ‘YFAF’ this summer, and an album this winter.”
But the true mission is to turn into a successful artist and Finesse Gang Polo has the perfect potential for that. “I believe a successful artist is someone that loves what there doing musically and knows the correct way to market themselves in the music industry. Music is all about marketing, if you don’t invest in the promotional side of music then you wouldn’t be able to call yourself a successful artist. The successful artist believes in themself and is going to put their all into what they love. Every successful artist needs to understand how to truly bring out good and positive energy to connect with their fans.”
While marketing and promotion are important Finesse Gang Polo also warns about the increasing number of fake promoters that can ruin an artist’s reputation. “Being ‘Fake Famous’ is not the way to go. Lots of artists nowadays are buying bots and fake streams. These will not do anything for you but pull you down, in the long run. It’s best to grow your fan base organically. I lived to learn everyone isn’t going to like your music but at the same time if you like it then someone else will too. So growing your fans organically is the best way to go about this.”
This year the artist is releasing a new single called ‘pof’ which will be dropping around spring break. He will also be releasing a music video for another single called ‘YFAF’ this summer and then dropping an entire album this winter. “This is going to be a super big year for me,” the artist tells us.
