With the music industry being more saturated than ever, many listeners look for something “real” to latch onto. Guttawitdasack fills that need with his music composed from his upbringing. Using this “real-rap”, the artist has been able to speak to many that most can’t reach.
Guttawitdasack grew up in the hood in South Carolina and has seen a lot of violence which he now puts into his music. In a recent interview the rapper said doesn’t make up stories saying , “I make music from my past experiences… no made up fabrications, it’s not just rhymes and jingles, it’s authentic and organic. The picture I paint in my songs, you can hear my pain and truth.”
Guttawitdasack is unlike most “cap” rappers in that his stories are truthful and touching to the core. Because of this “realness”, Guttawitdasack is one of the fastest growing names on the West Coast and is expected to have a big year in 2023.
