Following its successful debut in Los Angeles during Super Bowl Week last month, Future x Sounds™ brings its one-of-a-kind ‘Sounds of Philly’ pop-up series to New York City for two special Saint Patrick’s Day shows on March 17th. Joined by some very special surprise guests, Philadelphia’s finest musicians including world-renowned drummer and producer George “Spanky” McCurdy, famed bassist Thaddaeus Tribbett, Electro/Soul vocalist Aliyah Niambi, and pianist Larry Lambert II, will perform as a collective in celebration of the sounds of their home city.
Grammy-winner Cory Henry, and Emmy-nominated Music Director and Grammy award-winning mastermind Adam Blackstone were just a few of the special guest performers that joined this all-star lineup for the ‘Sounds Of Philly’ show in Los Angeles. The New York City shows are sure to deliver just as much– if not more –musical star power at Nublu, New York’s magical space for live music in the city’s East Village. This will be an intimate live celebration of the music of Philly, with New York flair, like no other. And in true Future x Sounds fashion, you never know who will show up.
Doors for the first set will open at 8:30PM, and doors for the late set will open at 11PM. Tickets for both sets can be purchased in advance here and here.
Immediately following the late set, the night will continue with a curated Jam Session by long-time collaborators HighBreedMusic and Anu Sun´s The Shed Open Jam. Past surprise guests of this jam series have included Bilal, Kamasi Washington, and DJ Battlecat, to name a few.
Future x Sounds has activation events planned for the next six months in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and other cities that are soon to be announced. The first ten ticket buyers of the March 17th ‘Sounds Of Philly’ show will be granted free access, along with one guest, to Future x Sounds’ secret NYC event, hosted by a very special guest, on March 19th (details revealed upon RSVP).
