With expert melodic instincts, Syracuse rapper, Scorey, is quickly becoming one of his generation’s defining voices. Returning with a batch of atmospheric, silky-smooth rap tunes, Scorey shares Help Is On The Way, his first full-length project. The new 16-track effort, which features a single appearance from platinum artist Polo G, establishes Scorey’s reputation of emotional trap music alongside sprinkles of real-life struggles and underlying pain.
“I know a lot of people use music to help them cope with difficult times,” says Scorey about the meaning behind the project title. “I just wanted to connect with fans on an emotional level, to help them relate whatever they’re going through with my music.”
Creeping over instrumentals as Freddy Kreuger slips through subconsciouses, Scorey weaves between gentle guitar strums and hyperactive snars on tape highlights like “Alone” and “Girls Love Rod Wave.” Help Is On The Way features some of Scorey’s most expansive production to date, with contributions from SephGotTheWaves (Pop Smoke), Jai Beats (YoungBoy Never Broke Again), John Luther (Lil Durk), Nash (Rod Wave), Berki (Toosii), Taz Taylor (Lil Tecca), Nick Mira (Internet Money) and Callari (Rich The Kid) among others. Help Is On The Way, the crowning achievement of a busy year for Scorey, follows a string of stellar singles featuring standout tracks like the nostalgic “Die Young”, “Cappers” and Polo G’s “Broken Guitars” from his #1 album Hall of Fame. With over 13 million all-time listeners on Spotify, Scorey released his debut EP 2021’s ‘Catch Me If You Can’ solidifying his style, melding sentimental strings, and booming 808’s. Whether the subject matter is romantic, traumatic, or somewhere in the middle, Scorey delivers versatility to satisfy his listeners.
As the first signee to Polo G’s Capalot/ODA Records, Scorey is following in the footsteps of his mentor, crafting edgy rock-infused cuts like “Love Letter”, which was featured in NBA2K, generating over 20 million streams.
