Top Dawg Entertainment has teamed up with Reason on his new song, “Is What It Is.” The song, which features a guest verse by Jay Rock, effortlessly showcases the chemistry between the two artists. The track features some honesty from REASON regarding his recent thoughts, while some production comes from Hollywood Cole:
REASON released New Beginnings as his first studio album back in 2020. On the project, you’ll find appearances by JID, Alemeda, Rapsody, Ab-Soul, Vince Staples, ScHoolboy Q, Isaiah Rashad, and Mereba appear on 14 tracks.
Since then, Top Dawg Entertainment’s Carson, CA rapper has lent his pen to Cozz “Hair Salon” and Deante’ Hitchcock “Weighing Me Down.” He also provided fans with a taste of what is to come with No More, No Less: Demo 1 a few months ago.
