Just over a year since the release of his critically acclaimed debut album S.H.I.F.T, North Carolina rap artist, songwriter, and producer AASHER is back with a captivating new single titled ‘betray me’. Written by Aasher himself, and co-produced with Netherlands beatsmith Woodpecker, who has also worked with Young Thug, Lil Tjay, $NOT, and Flo Milli, among others, ‘betray me’ ushers in an exciting new musical universe for Aasher as the Charlotte native begins to tease towards his highly anticipated sophomore project, which is arriving early 2024.
Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘betray me’, Aasher says, “This record represents a sort of rebirth for me as a person and as an artist. The betrayal was something that opened my eyes to the duplicity from those closest to me, but it also pushed me into exploring new soundscapes for this new era of my music.”
