DJ Diamond Kuts and bubbling Philadelphia, PA streetwear brand StockedUp recently curated the New Millennium Party at the city’s legendary Theatre of Living Arts (provided by Livenation) this past New Years Eve, and the event was definitely worth the while. Providing a fulfilling vibe for the holiday, the ensemble also contained an exclusive concert highlighting some of the city’s emerging talent. The show was officially hosted by fellow bubbling creatives PonzoTheDon, Micd Up With Monty, BbyGirlSham, and Hashland.
StockedUp’s CEO Niare prides himself on community and creativity, and DJ Diamond Kuts is intentional in her involvement as well — so when she reached out to curate the NYE collaboration, it was organically seamless.
With StockedUp officially launching in 2015, the brand is big on authenticity and urban eras, initially launching with their signature snapback design and later expanding into clothing as well. With their creative history, alongside DJ Diamond Kuts debut era, it comes to no surprise that they effortlessly executed the early 2000’s theme of the New Millennium party.
“That era was fun and a lot of us didn’t have any worries, so all we did was find ways to actually enjoy having fun. There was no instagram or any of this, so we had to actually create a way to enjoy ourselves without social media promoting to us what is or isn’t cool, like nowadays.” -Niare (CEO, StockedUp)
From the oversized 4X t-shirts to the super baggy jeans and snapbacks, StockedUp curated a fashionable ambiance that attendees loved to participate with. The mix of new era performances and old school music was the cherry on top to the nostalgic celebration.
The vibes and music of course were both set and handled handled by Diamond Kuts herself, DJ RL, and djdj as well. Everyone who pulled off the event represents community, elevation, and lifestyle effortlessly, and the New Millennium Party with both StockedUp and DJ Diamond Kuts was just an example of many great things to come from each party.
