Welcome to our exclusive interview with a rising star in the Hip-hop scene, a Filipino born and raised in the Philippines, currently residing in Japan. He is a talented Hip-hop producer and beatmaker, known for his ability to create diverse beats ranging from R&B to Trap, Oldschool to West Coast, and even Drill.
Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into producing beats?
Sure! My name is Egyboi Cruz, and I’ve always had a passion for music. Growing up, I was exposed to different genres and artists, which helped shape my style and sound. I started producing beats in 2002 and continued to refine my skills throughout the years.
Q: How would you describe your sound, and what sets you apart from other beatmakers in the industry?
I would describe my sound as diverse and unique. I don’t like to limit myself to one particular genre or style, and I’m always experimenting with different sounds and techniques. However, what sets me apart from other beatmakers is that I’m also a single father of two beautiful kids. Balancing my passion for music with my responsibilities as a parent hasn’t been easy, but it’s something that I’m incredibly proud of. I want to inspire other young parents out there to pursue their dreams while also being there for their kids.
Q: Your website features a wide range of beats, including Drill Beat, Trap Beat, Melodic Drill Type Beat, and R&B Trap Style Beat. How do you approach creating beats for each of these genres?
For me, it’s all about understanding the key elements and characteristics of each genre and style. I spend a lot of time studying and analyzing different beats to see what makes them stand out. Then, I try to incorporate those elements into my own beats while adding my own unique touch.
Q: You’ve been gaining popularity on social media platforms like YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook. How have these platforms helped you grow your fanbase?
Social media has been a huge help in terms of getting my music out there and connecting with fans. Platforms like YouTube and TikTok allow me to showcase my beats and reach a wider audience. Twitter and Facebook are great for engaging with fans and building a community around my music.

I’m always working on new beats and experimenting with different sounds and styles.
