Set It Off is Offset’s sophomore album, which contains features from Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Future, Cardi B, Latto and more. It comes four years after his debut solo album Father of 4, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
The album is 21 tracks long and runs for an hour.
The album’s title is a play on Offset’s stage name. Offset said in an interview with Apple Music 1 that the goal of the album is to show more of his personality. He also said that he wanted to evolve rather than rest on his laurels.
Offset said that the album is a form of healing for himself and a heartfelt message to his fans and supporters. He thinks of it as having a kind of theatricality, like a series instead of a movie.
