With 16 tracks on the Standard Edition and 20 on the Deluxe Edition, Real Boston Richey goes hard with no features. Instead, he highlights his voice, vibe, and vision front-and-center.
The opener “Ain’t Gone Lie” builds towards a chantable chorus where he declares his independence, “Only got myself, it’s just me.” On “Bubba Man,” the 808s practically erupt beneath his unmistakable warblng cadence as he proclaims, “I’m the Bubba Man.” Slick keys underscore his melodic delivery on the lyrical manslaughter of “Red Rum.” The project closes with “What They Did.” He flexes ferocious flows punctuated by quotable rhymes.
