We’ve formerly introduced you to Silk West once before, but the emerging Florida rapper recently released his newest project STAY SILKY! and it is now readily available for streaming across all DSP’s. The 6-track body of work accurately represents Silk West’s artistry and persona as a whole, especially with highlighted tracks like “Mackin” and “Wonderful Day. Florida is renowned for its variety of sounds, and seemingly no one artist sounds the same. Silk West is a perfect example of the originality that derives from the state itself.
The Florida-native has been consistently releasing and pushing his music for the last handful of years, and the effort is beginning to show. Just two weeks into the EP’s release, “Mackin” has garnered over 5,000 streams and counting itself — and it was ironically produced by Silk as well.
