In collaboration with 13 artists, Kilz The Don of Detroit, Michigan, recently released the most-talked-about new project in his city. ‘I Got Rapper Friends’ presents not only Kilz The Don’s musical ear, but other rising talents.
The idea to bring a collection of unique tracks stemmed from his real life friends. He explains, “a majority of my friends do music and that’s all I’m around.” Wether in the studio or at events, music is a daily surrounding.
“I got rapper friends in real life,” he stated. With a mission to merge his 100K brand with a mastermind method, the project was born. During the process of song selection, there were tracks that were not selected, however, Kilz reveals what gets artists selected for his incoming I Got Rapper Friends 2. (Yes, it is a series). “I look for consistency, work ethic, and chemistry when it comes to finding the right artist,” he explains.
