Kyle Anfernee, the voice behind the iconic blog The Neighborhood Talk, is putting his platform to work for women in business. In partnership with Malika Manning Marketing, he turned his platform into a community, and now he’s putting that community to work for women in business. His latest initiative, EmPowerHER NYC, brought together a squad of heavy hitters like Amber Sabathia (Sports Agent and Philanthropist), Pinky Cole (the brains behind Slutty Vegan), and more – ready to drop serious knowledge on how to make moves and secure the bag.

This ain’t your average women’s conference full of empty buzzwords. EmPowerHER NYC was two days packed with value. Day one was all about the knowledge drop: panel discussions dishing real-world advice on everything from nailing an investor pitch to breaking barriers in male-dominated industries. Day two kept the momentum going with a celebratory dinner at Brooklyn Chop House. This was the night for networking, recognizing a few women making major waves, a surprise Wyclef Jean appearance, and plenty of good vibes to fuel the next big hustle.

Kyle Anfernee built The Neighborhood Talk on the power of community, and that’s the energy driving EmPowerHER NYC. It’s more than panels and dinners – this event is about building a network of women supporting women, sharing resources, and sparking collaborations. “We want to turn our network into tangible growth for women in business,” says Anfernee.

Word on the street is EmPowerHER NYC is more than a one-off event; it’s a movement. This year was the debut, but you can bet this platform’s only getting louder, bringing more opportunities for female entrepreneurs to connect, learn, and level up their game.
