Expertly applying his slippery flow to imperial Florida trap instrumentals, BossMan Dlow has hit the ground running in 2024. Continuing his lighting-quick rise from Port Salerno to the pop charts, the rising rapper shares Mr Beat The Road, his brand new mixtape. The 17-track mixtape gets the most out of Dlow’s massive charisma, painting a picture of Dlow’s whip-swerving, hard-trapping, rack-stacking lifestyle. He is a master of the unexpected punchline, building anticipation with his elastic flow before subverting them with an sly flex or out-of-pocket pronouncement. The mixtape arrives with the creative, Counterpoint 2.0-directed video for “Lil Bastard,” in which Bossman Dlow and Rob49 show a screening of thier Michael Bay-esque film, in which they dodge the feds in Miami while hosting a bevy of beautiful women on speedboats and jetskis.
Mr Beat The Road is home to recent singles like the Billboard Hot 100-charting breakout hit “Get In With Me,” and its trending follow-up “Mr Pot Scraper,” plus recently-teased songs like “Muscle Up,” performed last week on On The Radar. The 14 new tracks more than live up to that lofty standard, including the effortlessly condescending “Piss Me Off,” the fast and furious “21,” and the seductive Sexyy Red collaboration “Come Here.” With an additional appearance from Dlow’s fellow Floridian Wizz Havinn, Mr Beat The Road is available everywhere via Alamo Records.
