Dee Wile and Infinite Distribution have announced a new agreement that will enable the “Free Game” rapper to remain an independent artist while also having access to the music company’s global services, ranging from distribution and radio promotion to marketing.
Wile and Infinite Distribution are extending their relationship by aligning with the rapper for upcoming releases, including the T.H.C. EP in April and Dee Wile’s upcoming album The Half Oz
Dee Wile, whose real name is Desmond Wiley, said “Times have changed. Now, there’s a path for artists to achieve the success they dream of without locking themselves into restrictive, predatory deals with major labels.”
Infinite Distribution is an independent label based in Central Florida, which is connected to Empire Distribution Group and Ingrooves Music Group, both of which will handle the album’s distribution.
Unlike a label deal, which typically takes 80%-plus cut of the revenue, Infinite Distribution offers better recoupment rates that allows artists to recoup faster and receive the lion’s share of income post-recoupment before the term ends.
