Dom Okon finds success yet again through the release of his record titled “Just Dom.” A few weeks prior the title track off the “Just Dom” album that also goes by the same name shot to number #1 on the South African iTunes Alternative Singles Chart. The single also peaked at #9 on the All-Genres Chart in the South African area.
Okon was thankful on Instagram for the success of his previous record. On June 30th, the acclaimed instrumental artist took to Instagram to celebrate yet another milestone. The song titled Oddly Strange off his “Just Dom” album made an appearance on the Genius All Genres Day Trending Chart. The song eventually peaked at #23. The track also made an appearance on the Genius Pop Day Trending Chart peaking at #9. Okon himself made an appearance also on the Genius Artists Day Trending Charts peaking at #69.
“Just Dom” as an album is slower in melody compared to previous records and leans toward an alternative sound. Despite the change in style for Okon he has still managed to captivate listeners through his knack for storytelling and picturing an image for people who hear his music.
In spite of Dom Okon finding success on the iTunes Charts three times with three different records he has never found success on the Genius Trending Charts until this very moment. In fact, no American teenage instrumental artist has found success on the Genius Trending Charts until Dom Okon. He is the youngest American instrumental artist to have a song atop the Genius Trending Charts at age 19. This is yet another record that Dom Okon has accomplished during his early career.
