The track is from her recently-released mixtape BIG MYAAP, NOT THE LIL ONE, which arrived in February led by its lead single “I Ain’t Hidin” (feat. Mg Sleepy). While Milwaukee’s Rap scene has existed for decades, it has long been an unsung hero in the eyes of the mainstream, existing (and thriving) in the shadow of much larger, more prominent metropolitan heavy-weights. Myaap stands at the forefront of her city’s cultural moment, lending herself to the foray of TikTok virality and forward-thinking sonics, backed by her recent phenomenon “Getting to It”, which samples ABBA’s “Dancing Queen”, and other standout tracks like “Wham” and “Party Crackin” (1.3M+ Streams).
