Rising R&B star Ron E celebrates the release of his new EP, Rated R, today via MNRK Music Group. Produced by Grammy Award-winner Hitmaka, the four-track EP delivers a fresh sound that bridges classic R&B vibes with contemporary allure, capturing the intensity and complexity of love and relationships. With standout singles like“Worst Way” featuring Fabolous and “Perform,” a smooth ode to the magnetism of confident women, Rated R is already resonating with audiences across the genre.
To accompany the EP’s release, Ron E drops the final video in a trilogy of visual stories, “Proud of You,” premiering on BET Soul and BET Jams. Directed by Gerard Victor, the video completes a series that has captured Ron E’s journey through love, desire, and connection in unforgettable style.
Long Island-bred Ron E is no stranger to the music scene. He began his career in the viral R&B boy group “Exit 21,” aptly named after the highway exit in his hometown. After the group disbanded to pursue solo careers, Ron focused on his craft and began writing. His persistence and ambition led him to connect with mega-producer Hitmaka, resulting in writing credits for Chris Brown (“Stutter”), DDG (“She Don’t Play”), Eric Bellinger (“All For Me”), Tink (“Songs About U” ft. Summer Walker), Lady London (“Intro” ft. Jeremih), and more.
