In an exclusive interview with Tasha K, rapper SKG also know as Helecia Choyce, says she was physically assaulted by LA Crip Leader, Eugene “Big U” Henley at Nipsey Hussle T-shirt store. Although visibly uncomfortable in the interview, SKG tries her best to narrate the chain of events.

Accusations of “Big U” violence against SKG have been widely publicized. “Big U” Standing at a towering 6 feet, 5 inches tall weighing over 300 pounds, struck SKG several times in her face while being pregnant for her not cooperating under his orders during a business deal.

Although a vast majority of women spoke out in SKG defense on social media in regards to the incident — other social media users, argued that they were upset with SKG for mentioning the late Nipsey Hussle’s name, because he called her to the shop to get attacked. Some even attempted to downplay the attack while others in the community have validated SKG story.

With what the rapper has endured by the hands of Big U, it’s hard to not think of the abuse that other women rappers have to deal with, and how their voices have been silenced due to fear of retaliation and Intimidation.

With other female rappers like Kevhani Camilla Hicks, 27, who goes by Key Vhani onstage, was filmed being attacked and assaulted by her manager and another man on Oct. 9 in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami which resulted in the death of her manager.

SKG has partnered with several organizations, bringing awareness to the mistreatment of women in the hip hop industry. She says, she’s focused on giving back and making sure other females in this male dominated industry can have a safe space and voice to be heard within the hip hop and entertainment community.
