Award-Winning Venezuelan American singer Edward Mena, who is known for his distinctive voice and unique style, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming first Single of 2024 and this time, a beautiful romantic classic recorded in Italian. The artist is working once again with GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY nominee Hildemaro Álvarez, a respected Venezuelan producer and arranger in Miami, alongside Nick Burchall, an acclaimed mastering engineer in London who has worked on albums for Ed Sheeran, Tom Jones, Elton John, Sam Smith and Hollywood Movie Soundtracks such as Jurassic World.
Throughout his career, Edward Mena has performed in many cities around the United States and has shared the stage with a constellation of Hispanic musical stars, like Paloma San Basilio, Yuri, Guadalupe Pineda, Tania Libertad, Aída Cuevas, Danny Rivera, Leo Dan, actress Lupita Ferrer and Academy Award nominee Edward James Olmos, among others. Also, The City of Miami honored him with a proclamation, while Broward County in Florida presented him with a “Certificate of Appreciation”. Mena was also appointed as the Cultural Ambassador of the International Association of Hispanic Poets and Writers (AIPEH). In 2019, he released his debut EP “Emociones: Mi Canto Al Idolo” in the Latin market, where he worked with legendary producer Humberto Gatica, whose credits include Céline Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Barbra Streisand, Michael Bublé, and Josh Groban, which earned him a Global Music Award as “Best Male Vocalist” and other international awards in countries like Spain and his native Venezuela.
On November 30, 2023, he was invited as a guest of honor to The White House to be recognized by the Biden Administration during the first-ever “Day of Venezuela” celebration alongside 79 other respected and exemplary Venezuelan personalities for their valuable contributions to the United States, a historic day for Venezuelans in the Nation. And, in May of the same year, he released his version of the timeless song “Unchained Melody”, which was very well received by his fans and media from around the world.
