Exclusive Interview HipHopSince1987
In a game where consistency, authenticity, and hustle mean everything, GlokkSavage is proving that real ones still win. The rising hip hop star has just inked a major distribution deal with Roc Nation Distribution, adding more fuel to a career that’s already catching heavy traction.
With over 50,000 organic views on his music videos on Facebook, a growing fan base, and two weeks trending on Billboard Hip Hop, GlokkSavage’s name is buzzing in the streets and online. But beyond the music, his mission is personal—he’s using his platform to give back to the less fortunate in his neighborhood, knowing firsthand what it’s like to start from nothing.
We caught up with GlokkSavage for an exclusive interview to talk about his journey, his Billboard Hip Hop moment, and his plans to inspire the next generation.
HipHopSince1987: First off, congratulations on your new distribution deal with Roc Nation. How did that come together?
GlokkSavage: Appreciate it. This was a blessing that came from years of hard work. I’ve been building my name from the ground up—putting out quality music, networking, and staying true to myself. Roc Nation saw the grind, the numbers, and the love I was getting from the people. They believed in my vision, and the deal just made sense.
HipHopSince1987: You’ve been trending on Billboard Hip Hop for over two weeks straight. How did it feel seeing your name in that space?
GlokkSavage: Man, it’s surreal. I grew up watching my favorite artists chart on Billboard Hip Hop, so to see my name up there—it’s motivation. It’s proof that the hip hop community is rocking with my music, and it just pushes me to go harder.
HipHopSince1987: Your Facebook videos are pulling in over 50,000 organic views. What do you think is connecting with the audience the most?
GlokkSavage: I think it’s the authenticity. People can feel when you’re real. My music isn’t just about turning up—it’s my story, my pain, my wins, and my losses. A lot of people can relate to coming from nothing and trying to make something of themselves.
HipHopSince1987: You’ve mentioned wanting to help the less fortunate in your community. Can you share more about that?
GlokkSavage: Absolutely. I know what it’s like to be down bad, to not have the resources or guidance you need. So now that I have a platform, I want to use it to give back—whether it’s through mentorship, food drives, or creating opportunities for kids in the neighborhood. If I can help somebody avoid the mistakes I made, I’m doing my job.
HipHopSince1987: What’s next for GlokkSavage?
GlokkSavage: More music, more visuals, and more ways to give back. I’ve got some major collaborations on the way, and I’m focused on building a legacy that’s bigger than just music.
HipHopSince1987: Any message for your fans?
GlokkSavage: Thank you for riding with me since day one. We’re just getting started. If you’ve got a dream, chase it like your life depends on it—because it does.
