Calling all the hopeless romantics, loverboys and lovergirls to the front. There’s a new reason to step out tonight! For The Love of R&B is making its city debut Thursday, October 15, at Vinyl, bringing a house party atmosphere to the nightlife scene with a soundtrack that spans generations of R&B.
Curated by Philadelphia native Kim Chanel and Atlanta native J Rich, the party was built around a simple idea: bring people together through the music they know, love, and still want to hear outside. Expect nostalgic favorites alongside current R&B, with DJ sets that move beyond slow jams to keep the energy up throughout the night.
The concept has already found its footing in Atlanta, drawing creatives, artists, and music lovers into an environment where singing along to a familiar record is just as much a part of the experience as discovering something new. Now, the party is expanding into other cities, with its Philadelphia debut serving as a homecoming for Kim. The Atlanta event is set to return on October 17.
The October 15th lineup features DJDJ, DJ Bria G, AMH, Champagne Shak, and B-Flex, each contributing to a night designed to move between R&B eras and sounds. The event is produced by Stumble Media Group LLC and Medina “Queen Dina” Oyefusi.
For The Love of R&B takes place from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Vinyl in Philadelphia. Come find your rhythm, this might be the move for Thursday night.
