Young Chris is making his return with Catch A Vibe, marking his first new project in a decade. The Philadelphia rapper brings together a mix of familiar voices and respected names from across hip-hop, including State Property affiliate Freeway, Detroit rapper Icewear Vezzo and Peezy. The release gives longtime fans a new chapter in Chris’ catalog while introducing listeners to his latest work. An expanded version, titled Catch A Vibe (Or A Bullet), is also available exclusively through Lutely, featuring additional appearances from Wale, Dave East, Ransom and OT The Real.
Chris has remained a recognizable name in Philadelphia hip-hop since his rise as one-half of Young Gunz alongside Neef Buck. The duo made a major impact with “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop,” earning a Grammy nomination and building on that momentum with the albums Tough Luv and Brothers from Another. As a member of State Property and part of the Roc-A-Fella Records legacy, Chris helped shape a defining era of Philly rap. His solo catalog has continued to grow through independent releases and collaborations, including Fine Dining with Dave East, Made In Philly with MadeInTYO and the EP Brief Intermission. With Catch A Vibe now available on streaming platforms, Chris adds another release to a career rooted in Philadelphia’s hip-hop tradition.
