The creative mentioned the record came together naturally once he heard the instrumental behind “Yes Lawd.”
The result was a track fueled by personal frustration, determination, and resilience. Through the song, SWAY addresses challenges involving relationships, friendships, and outside negativity while emphasizing his commitment to continue moving forward. “I understand that things aren’t just given to you, so you have to go get them,” he says. “That’s why I’m so hungry and aggressive when I write because I want people to feel what I’m feeling, especially the hardships of an upcoming artist.”
Touring has also provided valuable feedback that extends beyond the stage. By testing songs in front of live audiences, SWAY gains immediate insight into what resonates and what can be improved. “When I perform in front of people, I’m able to see the reactions in real time,” he explains. “I’m also always open to feedback. That’s the most important thing in my opinion.”

Instead of focusing solely on online engagement, SWAY prioritizes meaningful conversations with listeners and believes applying their feedback helps create stronger relationships over time and better music overall.
