Media personality and entrepreneur David Portley Jr., professionally known as K!ng Web, has issued a public statement addressing his decision not to attend upcoming funeral services connected to two grieving families.
According to K!ng Web, the decision was made after careful discussions with his management team and Roc Nation, who advised that staying away from the services was the safest course of action.
“My management team and Roc Nation and I made the difficult decision that it’s best for me not to attend any of the services,” he shared. “Their priority is keeping me safe, out of trouble, and focused on the future because I have a lot to lose.”
Despite his absence, K!ng Web emphasized that his heart remains with both families during this difficult time.
“My heart is broken, and my thoughts and prayers are with both families,” he said.
He also reflected on the growing tensions that can surround family gatherings, expressing sadness
over how quickly misunderstandings and private matters can become public through social media and other outside influences.
“It’s heartbreaking that families can’t come together anymore without words being twisted on social media or drama happening behind closed doors,” he added.
K!ng Web concluded his message by respectfully asking the public to understand and honor the decision made by him and his team as they continue to prioritize safety and peace during an emotional time.
“Please respect my decision and the decision of my team at this time.”
