AMU Henry Smalls (referred to by name: Dotty) dropped what was supposed to be one of his biggest albums almost a year ago. FINAL FORM, was highly anticipated to be a huge crossover bringing light to the VRChat rap scene. However, distribution issues halted the album’s release on Apple. Interpersonal conflicts started after it’s release, among other issues leading to the artist himself calling the album a failure.
The album featured multiple artists from the VRChat rap scene, including Shiroko Raccz, FlandreXO, Hoshino Kutta, and more. There were some pretty huge plans for the album’s promotion, but they were all cut short. In total, Dotty paid $640 for the features on the album. Not to mention the $30 lost after Marisaguap wasted the collab with a throwaway verse.
The album grossed next to nothing compared to its estimated budget of $700, and Dotty only made the money back because of AroundThaWRLD. Promotion opportunities were also hindered, as DistroKid refused to send the Apple Music and iTunes. Spotify also failed to accept a display campaign submission for the album, and $40 sent to Young Tensai also went to waste.
The album’s CD version (FINAL FORM+, released in March 29, 2026) brought on a small resurgence, attracting a lot of downloads. However, it was still a huge loss for Dotty.
While Dotty has put a lot of pain into this project, he has put an equal amount of passion into it, and spent just about his entire first paycheck to make this project come to light. (GetMusic.FM)
Let’s get into the issues that impacted the album…
Distribution problems
The album was released on streaming platforms by DistroKid, a well-known DIY music distributer that has come under fire lately. DistroKid was once renowned as a vital tool for quickly bringing independent artists to streaming. However, it caused a lot of issues with the albums streaming releases, notably on Apple platforms.

Apparently, Apple rejected the album for being at the wrong sample rate (64 kHz). The only issue with this statement was that the audio files were in fact 96 kHz. Moreover, DistroKid just added an Audio Swap feature, although it was only available on the premium plan. Thus, people heavily criticized this as a greedy attempt to make Dotty upgrade.
Not too long ago, DistroKid rejected some of Dotty’s recent releases, prompting verification.
Stores require that you provide verification for AMU Henry Smalls.
Dotty took to Facebook and Threads to vent about this move, having had the account since 2024. DistroKid has become all the more controversial lately, especially after UMG’s lawsuit.

DistroKid has delayed payments from YouTube for seemingly no reason. Users have been frustrated with the long wait of earnings that should have been processed. Meanwhile, other distributors, such as Symphonic, have already processed and paid those respective royalties.
After the UMG lawsuit, followed by a lawsuit from Sony, DistroKid start issuing mass takedowns. Most of the takedowns came without reason or prior notice. Thousands of frustrated artists took to social media to alert their fans.
Missed deadlines
Dotty was originally supposed to release the album Thanksgiving 2025. However, due to feature verses being sent back late, it was postponed to his birthday the following month. Instead of the full album, he put out an abridged sampler called FINAL FORM LITE. The process of completing the album was quite tedious due to the features. Dotty dealt with long wait times, ignored messages, and even a throwaway verse.
Let’s get into some of the features that impacted the album.
Features
Shiroko Raccz…

Shiroko Raccz’s feature was the most notable feature on the album. It was the one Dotty was initially the most excited for. As such, it was the one that got hyped up the most.
When the album first came out on Bandcamp, EVIL KITTY was set as the featured track. Everything was on the right track, and only one thing could mess it up.

Shiroko Raccz failed to announce the collab once it came out. At first, this wasn’t much of an issue. You could still expect him to repost later. But the problem got progressively worse, as Roko would then refuse to announce, considering it to be ‘unpaid promo’.
This came off as completely unethical, because it’s widely considered a common courtesy to repost a collab once. N.COLE!, who also featured on the album, agreed that Roko’s treatment was unfair.
Later on, fans would compare the lengths of each feature verse, and found that Shiroko Raccz, Lil Blurr Q, and Hatsune Miku (on CLOUD 11) had the shortest feature verses (16 bars). However, Blurr’s verse was free, and Miku is a Vocaloid. Therefore, Roko had the shortest paid verse, at 2nd highest price of $150. Fans would then start urging Dotty to get his money back.
Other controversies with Roko

Shiroko Raccz was already under fire for multiple allegations, most notably charity scamming. Back in around August 2025, Yui2Cute, a well known member of the Virtual underground community was diagnosed with a terminal illness. In September, Roko did a 24hr benefit livestream on Twitch to spread awareness and support Yui.
During the livestream, Roko made $2000. However, not a dime of it was donated to the GoFundMe page. Instead, it sat in Roko’s PayPal. Dotty was actually a huge part of the stream, hosting one of the game shows and making 2 tribute tracks. However, after this was brought to light, Dotty would slowly distance himself.
A lot of the situations Roko got himself into have revealed him as someone who exploits people. Truly sad.
Update: After Dotty announced the album’s takedown on Threads he vented about Roko’s ill treatment of him. Roko then liked the post, silently expressing satisfaction about this. Roko also claims not to know Dotty despite accepting money from him to collab.
souljiagrlonline…

Souljiagrlonline featured on 2 songs: NO WAY OUT & SMILE [Remix]. Overall, sgo’s features serve as an ultimate example of how inconsistent the features were. Dotty paid a reported total of $100 for sgo’s verses, and both of the songs had 32-bar features. Only difference was that sgo’s verse on the SMILE remix was 16 bars, and 762Koharu recorded the other 16.
Recently, Dotty attempted to contact sgo in hopes of doing another collab, but was ignored entirely.
Hoshino Kutta…

The only person I ever messed with out of the VR chat community was Hoshino Kutta. That was the only person. She is one of the nicest person. I remember I have DMs with her and me and her we was talking about like freaking J-pop and stuff like that. Like we cool. I mess with Hoshino Kutta, bro. She’s cool. The only cool one. The only one that ever like actually messed with me at least. – KAN3KI~CHAN
The next notable feature was Hoshino Kutta, on the critically acclaimed song CAN’T TELL YOU. Out of all the paid features, Kutta’s was the most expensive at $200, but it’s the one that get the furthest.
The only regret I have with this collab, is that I didn’t pay Kutta directly – DottyB
Yep, Dotty didn’t pay Kutta directly, he paid Roko. It took a tremendously long time to pay for the verse, and a long time to send back.
Overall, Dotty and Kutta remain mostly cordial, except they haven’t talked in a while.
FlandreXO…

FlandreXO features on the song MIRACLE, originally intended for 556Kurumi. Dotty and Flan did not talk much prior to working together. Flan was also reported to have taken a long time to send her verse back.
Dotty has expressed interest in working with Flan again, but hasn’t been able to follow up.
Jwasabi…

Jwasabi was initially supposed to be featured on a song called MARTIAN, which was first recorded in 2023. However, after Dotty paid Jwasabi in November, he was unable to record due to falling ill. Up until mid-to-late December, there were no updates until finally Jwasabi sent something back: a different open.
Even worse, Dotty was sick when he received the new open he suddenly had to do instead. Rather than give up on the collab entirely, he recorded a hook before than having Hatsune Miku do his verse. This is how we got CLOUD 11, which might’ve been better than MARTIAN. But now for a collab we couldn’t get:
Marisaguap…

Marisaguap, a well-known 9enSokyo artist, was one of the planned features. In early November, Dotty sent $30 and the open for WAR, a song recorded over an AMU Henry Smalls type beat! At first, Marisa was unable to record due to being sick. But, after a while, Marisa failed to communicate with Dotty until early December, when she finally sent the verse back.

When I got that verse back, it was absolute dogshit. – DottyB
Marisa ended up sending Dotty a throwaway verse, and then blocked him right afterwards. Shortly after the verse was sent, Dotty was then dm’ed by Frustration.

Frustration alleged that Dotty stole one of his beats, even saying that he credited a different producer. However, he vehemently refused to disclose what song used his beat and insisted that Dotty paid him $50. It’s commonly theorized that Marisaguap bragged about finessing Dotty, which led to everyone knowing without Dotty ever saying anything.
Dotty had already sent the open to NatsukiN9ne, who rejected it and claimed they were “too busy”. Dotty also sent the open to FckSayori and ElainaTrappin, but got nothing back.
Meanwhile, after Marisa ruined the WAR open, there was another 9enSokyo artist who ended up on the album instead:
Suwakonem…

Suwakonem, for the most part, was not planned to be on the album. After Marisaguap finessed him, Dotty went to souljagrlonline’s (virtual) birthday bash, partly hoping to see them and talk everything out. Instead, Suwakonem and Ace Fourati were there, and Suwako said that she heard he got “scammed”. During the bash, Dotty hung out with Ace and Suwako, dumping on some of the music performance choices and talking about their issues with Shiroko Raccz. Suwako also expressed interest in working with Dotty. This led to STABLE getting made.
A lot of fans have ended up looping all this. Dotty then became convinced that 9enSokyo was conspiring against him, especially after Remilia Bandxz refused to sympathize with him and banned him from the discord server. In light of all this, Dotty reached out to, and questioned, Suwako. Paradoxically, she stated that she genuinely wanted to work with Dotty, and appeared to be unaware of how she came off as manipulative.
After all this, Dotty and Suwako are actually still on good terms. After the album got taken off of streaming, Suwako reached out to show support, currently being the only paid feature to do so.
Closing
FINAL FORM was supposed to be Dotty’s biggest album of 2025. It was meant to be the album that established Dotty in the VRChat rap scene. Instead, due to the previously stated issues, the album didn’t make it as far as it should have. The album would become a hidden gem on Bandcamp, and it quickly got lots of downloads later on.

Dotty is currently in the process of bringing the album back to streaming. He’s also planning to bring the album to fair and indie platforms. For now, you can also listen to the album in the embedded player below:
