New Orleans rapper Shorty channels his frustrations about the Ferguson verdict in a new unprecedented visual entitled “Why?” Wanting a better life for all Blacks, the uptown barber by day and artists by trade questions hardships experienced by his people in New Orleans and beyond.
“This record emphasizes police brutality in urban cities,” Shorty said. “I wrote the record because I feel there’s a need for a change. I’m tired of seeing my people dying or getting locked up over foolishness that could’ve been avoided.” Check out the video above.
