NYC native and Former Villanova University point guard Corey Fisher, who played with the Minnesota Timberwolves during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, has agreed to play overseas with Spanish team FIATC Joventut next season.
Fisher last played professionally in Turkey, where he averaged 17.2 points, 4.4 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 30 games. Fisher who is a great scorer averaged 15.6 ppg, 4.8 apg and 2.8 rpg for Nova as a senior and is widely rumored to have scored 105 points in a urban summer league in NYC “The Dyck”.
This summer Fisher played for the Minnesota Timberwolves at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. He appeared 5 times for the team collecting 6.4 ppg, 1.6 apg and 1.4 rpg. Maybe after another successful year overseas a NBA scout will have Fisher on their bench sooner than later.
