After curating at “The Dean Collection” exhibition for SCOPE at Art Basel this past week in Miami, Swizz Beats is looking to channel that creativity back to NYC.
Swizz is a man of many talents whose creativity knows no limits so it makes sense that he would want to continue living the #ArtLife and have the opportunity to share that with others.
Everyone knows about Soho House and how exclusive it is, members pay a fee to be a part of it and this ideal of an exclusive “club” for people is what inspired Swizz for his future project. He is hoping to open a Soho House style community space exclusive for artists but free of membership fees. The purpose is that they can share ideas and work together. This is an amazing idea that will help a lot of people out because like Swizz said in a recent interview with the New York Post, “Artists are being forced out of New York because of the cost of living, so I want to create a new community to help them.” He really is all about being able to help artists get their work out there to the world and he is the perfect person to make it happen.
If it all works out the club will be located in the Meatpacking District. I can’t wait to see what kind of creativity will surge out of there!
