Footage from Drizzy’s sold out 2009 Homecoming concert at Toronto’s Sound Academy has recently been discovered. The concert was held just 3 months after releasing his critically acclaimed So Far Gone mixtape & right before he signed to Lil Wayne & Young Money, & the footage was thought to have been lost & destroyed for all these years, until now.
The makers of “Drake’s Homecoming: The Lost Footage” have taken highlight pieces from the concert & additional production footage of the road leading to his record deal & interviews with James & Jas Prince, the two men credited for Drake’s discovery. We even get a few words from Bun B who’s collaborated with the OVO Sound CEO before his deal on their Uptown record which was featured on So Far Gone.
The movie is said to be a 1-day release in theaters on March 19th. Along with a cinema presentation, a soundtrack of hit So Far Gone classics will be released as well.
