Hailing from West Baltimore, Newcentz wanted to release “Handstand” to lift the spirits of his friends, family, and supporters within the city that were brought down from the recent brutality and riots affecting his city. Newcentz hasn’t had the easiest of lives, from being incarcerated at 16 years old for three and a half years to multiple friends being murdered right in his community. This is the motivation to make rap successful for him, so that he can take his three children out of that environment and make life easier for them then what he’s experienced. To kick off #ThirstyThursday, Newcentz presents “Handstand”!
