Mariah Carey has accomplished many achievements in the music industry in her over 20+ years in the game. The singer from Long Island, NY has been able to accumulate eighteen number one hits, five Grammys, 20 American Music Awards, 42 Billboard Awards and 200 hundred million records sold, that’s enough to brag about in any arena. Now, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Monday the songstress will receive the 2,556th star on August 5th. The star will be located at 6270 Hollywood Blvd, in front of the W. Hotel. At the event, others stars slated to attend are directors Brett Ratner, Lee Daniels and longtime friend and collaborator L.A. Reid. Recently, the diva has take up a residency in Las Vegas where she performs some of her biggest hits, at this point in her career the star solidifies her as a staple in the music industry.
