The Philadelphia Sixers could have a star on the rise. Last night, 76ers rookie center Jahlil Okafor made his NBA debut and he starting out the gate shooting a perfect 5 for 5. Despite the Sixers losing to the Boston Celtics (112-95), Okafor ended the night with 26 points on (10-16) with 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Okafor’s 26 points were the highest in a debut by a Sixers rookie since Allen Iverson and was the 11th most points scored by any player in their NBA debut since 1963.
