They told me I shouldn't make mixtapes anymore cuz of my success . But I truly care too much to just not . This is a project about my life

How could you not be a fan?
Wale has liberated a new mixtape to jumpstart the Summer and it’s rightfully called, “Summer on Sunset.” The 17-song tape was inspired by Wale’s visit to Los Angeles last Summer. And of course, it’s packed with references to the Left Coast metropolis. The tape’s introduction, titled “LAX,” features vocals from Raheem DeVaughn and sets the tone for the project.
“Summer on Sunset” is just a warm-up for Wale’s fifth album, “SHINE (Still Here Ignoring Negative Energy),” dropping this Fall.
