The on going $51 million legal battle between Lil Wayne and Birdman is back where it started, all because Wayne wont put some “respeck” on Birdman’s name.

According to TMZ, the two camps were close to settling their contract differences. In fact, an unnamed source says they were one meeting away from agreeing on a dollar amount. Then things went totally left after Wayne performed “I’m Me/1000 Degrees” at the Camp Flog Gnaw Festival in Los Angeles. The Young Money CEO  replaced the lyrics “I’m a motherfucking Cash Money millionaire” with “I’m a motherfucking Roc-A-Fella millionaire, hinting a possible signing with Jay-Z.

Sources also said that Wayne’s replaced lyrics is what triggered Birdman to end negotiations, possibly because Birdman and Jay-Z has their own personal beef. The unnamed person who is “close to the situation” says Baby and Wayne need to stop dissing each other in public if there’s any chance of them settling the $51 million lawsuit.

This battle is the reason why Lil Wayne hasn’t dropped the highly anticipated Carter 5 album, and instead he released a memoir in October called Gone ‘Til November, Weezy and in an interview with interview with HipHollywood, he was asked if he and Baby’s relationship will ever be the same and Wayne responded, “I’m 34 baby, I’m too old for friends … His last name isn’t Carter, baby. He’s not family.”

Who knows when this battle will be over, but if the world wants new music from one of the greatest in Lil Wayne, the lawsuit needs to reach an agreement because the world is ready for Carter 5.
