Trigarow is a 22 year old Papua New Guinean born New Zealand Artist based in Auckland. Having made his start in rap at age 11, it was not until he was 18 years old when he took things seriously – “I was at a crossroads in my life, I was finishing school and it was either go uni or take music seriously”
He went to university for two years where he tried to keep his passion for art in a box – “It was hard, here I was sitting at lectures for hours a day when all I wanted to do was make music, to build my brand”. Opportunity soon struck for the determined Trigarow as he was signed to a two year artist development contract by Parachute music in 2014.
He was half way through his artist development contract, and by then he had played alongside Australian rap powerhouse 360, opened for American Independent heavyweight Techn9ne and starred on guest song features with acts like Fortafy, William Singe and Jupiter Project to name a few. His fantastic run was capped of when “GetitBoyz” – a compilation Trigarow was a part of featuring a slew of other rising Auckland artists topped the iTunes rap charts in NZ.
“After seeing the impact of my two mixtapes and the possibilities at hand, I decided to put all my energy into music” – This brings us to the present day, where Trigarow has teamed up with Producer Rory Noble to complete the “Dream Catcher” EP, from which the first single “Don’t Know” is now available world wide.
