On Wednesday November 8th, TRU artist Skooly joined Terrell Thomas at the desk on These Urban Times to discuss his debut album ‘BAcCWArdFeELiNgS’ and more.
Skooly is one of the hottest artists coming out of Atlanta and is no stranger to the industry. Skooly also known as skateboard Skooly was the breakout star from one of the hottest rap groups Rich Kidz who had numerous hits while together. Seeing Atlanta’s music scene change over the years, Skooly broke down the Old Atlanta scene versus Today’s Atlanta scene and what has changed over the years.
Speaking on his excitement for the release of his debut album ‘BAcCWArdFeELiNgS’ on Friday November 10th, Skooly broke down his 14 track project, the features on the album and the creative space he was in to create the project. Skooly gave us some insight on how he took the creation of this album much more serious than he has mixtape projects in the past.
Before leaving the desk for a special These Urban Times photo shoot at the LiveHipHopDaily Studios, Skooly spoke on working with the Street Execs and 2 Chainz, how the Strip Club culture in Atlanta helps shape the music released today and he spoke on Atlanta’s growing sports culture with the success of the Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Falcons over the past few years.
