No one is having more fun making music than Danny Flavors right now, and the Bay Area artist delivers a huge dose of summery vibes on his new single, “Tell Me,” produced by Ocean Beats.
The track is fueled both by Flavors’s own catchy vocals and his acoustic guitar playing, which is complemented by shimmering Ocean Beats production. It makes for an immediately infectious combination that blends hip-hop, soft rock, and even country with immensely charming results. Those three genres played a major role in shaping Flavors’s younger mind when he first started getting into music, and it makes sense given his wide range of influences that include Eminem, UGK, 6lack, and Mac Dre.
Essentially, “Tell Me” is like a musical dose of Vitamin B, if its side effects include bad behavior and potentially getting busted by the cops. But hey, as Flavors sings himself, “Negativity, save that for another time.” While the song is being released as a single today, you can hear it on the Bay Area resident’s forthcoming LP, I.Am.My.Own.Worst.Enemy. It’s a mostly solo affair for the newcomer, though he is joined by rising artist OMB Peezy on what should be a standout cut.
Head over to your preferred digital retailer or streaming platform to support “Tell Me,” and stay tuned for more music and updates for I.Am.My.Own.Worst.Enemy, due out this Fall.
