There’s no denying the BOSS.
Rick Ross took on New York City this week for the closing dates of his “Port of Miami 2” Tour. It was damn near mandatory that the Maybach Music Group ringleader gave New York City two, back-to-back days at The Gramercy Theatre. And even more commendable that he brought out some of our city’s finest in Hip Hop to share the stage with.
Both nights were completely sold out but #MariaMyraine and #yeaimMike were able to be on the scene – courtesy of Epic Records. The packed-out Gramercy Theatre was welcomed with opening performances by new MMG signees, and an energetic boost from Gunplay. As he closed out his set, Rick Ross was seen stage right, chillin’ and lookin’ to the crowd discretely, before walking out to “I’m a Boss” – ofcourse.
From there, it was non-stop action as Ross performed a medley of his biggest hits – which ofcourse include other big names in Hip Hop. It wouldn’t be right if he didn’t bring out a few of New York City’s heavyhitters to share the stage with him. Touching the stage with the MMG ringleader were Jim Jones, A$AP Ferg, Spliffstar and Busta Rhymes!
Before saying his final words to the sold-out crowd, Ross took the time to honor the late Nipsey Hussle with clips from the last video he released before his untimely death.
“We got my beautiful mother in the building, my beautiful sister, and my beautiful daughter,” Ross announced at the end of his show before thanking New York City, and his fans.
