There is a party happening tonight at State Farm Arena as the Atlanta Hawks host the Phoenix Suns.

To celebrate the 60th birthday of Atlanta Hawks Legend and Basketball Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins, the Hawks have announced that they will honor and celebrate the career achievements and accomplishments of the ‘Human Highlight Film’ during the team’s home game on Tuesday, Jan. 14 vs. Phoenix. Wilkins currently works in various management functions within the organization as Vice President of Basketball and Special Assistant to CEO Steve Koonin, as well as serving as the team’s analyst for the Hawks broadcasts on FOX Sports Southeast.

“Dominique is one of the greatest and most influential athletes in Atlanta sports history and we are proud to celebrate his impact not only on our franchise but throughout the entire city,” Koonin said. “We hope to make this night incredibly memorable for him and an exciting trip down memory lane for all the fans in attendance who vividly remember his amazing play on the court during a tremendous era of basketball.”

Tickets in the 200 level start at $21 to pay tribute to his retired jersey number while tickets in the lower, 100 level start at $60 while supplies last. Each ticket will come with a $10 food and beverage credit that can be used at any concession stand inside of State Farm Arena. All Dominique Wilkins jerseys will be available at 21% off regular price at the Hawks Shop and online at HawksShop.com.

The 6-8 forward, who concluded his NBA career with 26,668 points, is the 13th all-time leading scorer in league history and his 24.8 career scoring average is 14th on the all-time charts. Wilkins’ 23,292 points with the Hawks are the franchise’s best, and he ranks second in team history in steals (1,245), fourth in rebounds (6,119), seventh in blocked shots (588) and eighth in assists (2,321). One of league’s true marquee players, his outstanding contributions on and off the court were given the highest recognition in Hawks franchise history when he was presented with a statue in front of State Farm Arena in March 2015. He was also recognized by the organization in January 2001 when he became just the third player in franchise history to have his uniform number (#21) retired, joining Hawks legends Bob Pettit and Lou Hudson. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.
