20-year-old Charlotte, NC native, JaahSLT, is in the midst of his break out year. After going viral with his hit “Tuff,” Jaah earned a record deal with Alamo Records and landed spots on Spotify’s US Viral 50 and Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25. Today he’s making it clear that he has no intention of slowing down as he drops his second project of the year, 9-25-20, and his latest single and video from the project, “Chevy.”

Spanning 10 tracks, 9-25-20 finds Jaah not only showing off his athletic rhymes but also his versatile taste in musical influences (honestly, my Spotify playlist is like unseasoned chicken when I compare it to what he’s listening to). Similar to his projects 2-7-20 and 6.28.19, 9-25-20 signifies a time capsule that embodies Jaah’s mindset during the time he recorded the tape. Drawing sounds from punk, R&B, and jazz, this energetic and hypnotic trap tape collides Jaah’s suburban upbringing with his inner-city street smarts. And although Jaah’s in the midst of his breakout year, he’s making it clear that this project isn’t just about him with features from Young Nudy and Jaah’s SLT crew members Sleep Walkin SLT, Nsikan SLT, and Loweye SLT.
Along with the tape, Jaah shares the new video for “Chevy” which showcases his chill and goofy personality as he and his SLT crew members ride through Charlotte in a Chevy. In addition to Chevy, the new tape features previously released highlights like the laidback “Right Now” ft. Young Nudy and the come-up anthem “Grimey.“
