Trapboy Freddy has returned with some more Texas heat as he drops off his mixtape titled Distractions. The mixtape’s signature sounds of the deep south blended with Trapboy Freddy’s catchy bars make up a project that’s destined to be heard blasting through car speakers throughout Texas.
Following the release of his 2020 mixtape Big Trap, Trapboy Freddy has delivered bangers to preview what to expect with the release of Distractions. The Oakcliff native teamed up with fellow Dallas-bred rappers Hotboy Star, Young Nino, Smurf Franklin, and Yella Beezy for “Oakcliff”– a nostalgic track honoring the city that raised them. To continue this tradition of putting on for his city and state, he came back with “Buss It Open” featuring 2021 XXL Freshman Lakeyah with its catchy hook and subtle nod to Dallas legend Lil Wil in the lyrics and track name. In between these releases, he delivered singles like “Hypocrite” and “Laugh Now” which displayed Freddy’s poignant storytelling abilities as he reflects on recent events leaving fans to draw their own conclusions. The mixtape also houses an upbeat Young Thug collaboration called “Freddy” that has a bouncy beat and catchy hook.
With this new release, Trapboy Freddy will undoubtedly have the Texas streets on lock this summer.
