Maryland’s Marc 2Ray drops something for the lyricists in the form of “True Craft”, a cut that features Baltimore bard MC Bravado and DC area songstress Allison Balanc. CPS L0ck provides the perfect soundscape for the two lyricists to show and prove and for Allison to nail all of the right notes.
Marc 2Ray makes it known how seriously he takes the craft when saying “Seeking perfection is a curse I traverse” and MC Bravado lives up to his name in somehow finding a way sneak an Oedipus Rex reference into a rhyme about why he should’ve been on Sway by now. The pair shows some dope chemistry, and the song, bolstered by golden era sensibilities and Allison’s dynamite hook, feels tailor-made to ride around to while traversing the DMV.
