Yesterday, Roc Nation and REFORM Alliance hosted the “Team Roc New York Job Fair” at Madison Square Garden to revitalize New York’s workforce.
The job fair, which was open to the public, sought to uplift countless New Yorkers seeking employment -
Participating employers joined the citywide effort to offer thousands of positions of all levels to the local New York community. Companies on the job fair floor included: National Football League (NFL), PUMA, Spotify, Union Square Hospitality Group, New York Yankees, Warner Music Group, JP Morgan, Tiffany & Co., SiriusXM/Pandora, Hot 97, Lowe’s, Madison Square Garden, Amazon, Foot Locker, Live Nation, 40/40 Club and more.
Attendees were treated to a full range of services to build their professional careers such as resume building and interview preparation support, grooming services, access to professional attire, community resources, on-the- spot professional headshots and business cards, and expungement aid – many of which are resources often overlooked.
Multiplatinum hip-hop star Jadakiss was spotted sharing words of support and encouragement to job seekers on the Job Fair floor, alongside radio personality, rapper, and actress, Angie Martinez who spoke with employers and attendees on the impact the event is projected to have on the city.
