NEW YORK, NY – Bi-coastal rap phenom, Kev the Pope is back with another banger with “Me, Myself, & I.” Reflecting on the loneliness of the come up, Kev takes us on a melodic journey as he travels the city with just him and his girl. “Me, Myself, & I” shies away from the drill heavy airwaves we’re used to while reminding us what made the 2010’s brand of hip-hop so iconic.
For Kev, its more than catchy hooks and fun songs. His music is lyrical yet marketable, has a message but is timeless. Using his upbringing as motivation for his sound, this rising star wants his music to stand as anthems for those facing similar problems; keeping in mind, that there is always a way out.
The “Me, Myself, and I” visual is currently available on to view on YouTube. Check out Kev the Pope’s upcoming album Life is Good 2 releasing April 13.
“Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, as a young boy, Kev was heavily influenced by a musical family. His older brother and sister were into hip-hop, and his father was into reggae. As he grew up, he began experimenting with a combination of those two genres, while also dropping in sounds from pop and R&B. By age 12, Kev shot a video in front of his building.
Today, Kev is using that knowledge to create a successful career for himself. His sound and style
are unique, and his lyrics are beginning to serve as anthems for many people around the country who come from the struggle and who face adversity. “With me it’s not just about catchy hooks, it’s about being lyrical and having a message and content that’s marketable and timeless.”
