“Never did Beano the Gentleman think that he would one day meet Grammy nominated Singer/Songwriter, Corey Latif, also one of his childhood role models. Two months ago, his dream came true. Growing up in Philadelphia, Latif was one of Beano’s favorite Singers, often imitating and singing his songs at local talent shows  and showcases all over. At an Arts, Beats & Eats event hosted by Babylon Cartel and Change Makers back in September, Beano was asked to bless the mic with a small performance. After blowing the crowd away, singing Mario’s “How Could You”, Latif wasted no time introducing himself. Several weeks gone by, Beano got a phone call that he never expected. Latif invited Beano to his personal studio to lay a chorus to a track that would separate him self from his underground artist peers and open up his fan base to a city he had not yet tapped in to; New York. Beano got the track back a week later and to his surprise Cassidy, Sheek Louch, Havoc (Mobb Deep) and Joell Ortiz were also featured on it. “If You Love Me” is now in heavy rotation on NYC’s Hot 97 and Shade 45. Now we are bringing it down to Philly!
